Dallas-McKinney Vintage Market Days is 3 days away . . . and I’m not ready yet!
Part of the problem is that I took “off” last weekend to take a short camping trip with the fam.
Yes, I’m looking a little rough after a night of very poor sleep.
It was a really nice break though from our regular schedules and even though it gave me one less weekend to prepare for the market, I’m so glad I went.
But since then, I’ve been working like crazy trying to price my items and tie up all of the loose ends on my projects.
I thought you all might enjoy a little preview of some of my non-furniture VMD stash. I’m very happy with what I’ve been able to find for this sale.
One of my favorite things to sell is vintage/amateur art. If you follow me on Facebook, you’ve probably already seen a few of the art pieces I found last week at Canton.
I am in love with the large oil painting in the back, and I think might keep that one for myself 🙂
I will also have a little collection of ironstone for sale.
There are a few more pieces up at my Antique Company Mall booth space that I may grab to sell along with these.
Another recent find is this pair of vintage horse trophies.
These have no name on them, and the vendor selling them kept trying to steer me towards the more expensive and “valuable” trophies that had names. I liked the bargain basement price of these though and actually prefer them with no name plaques.
I’ve hand painted a few rustic signs,
and have some actual vintage signs to sell as well.
There will be little pops of color throughout my space,
along with my regular blues and grays.
There are two other furniture makeovers I haven’t shown you yet, and hopefully I can get those posted before the market this weekend.
If you’re local I would love for you to swing by the market and visit me! It will be Friday and Saturday, from 10-6, at the Myers Event Center in McKinney. Click here to see more info and get directions.
I hope to see you there!

Nice stuff to put on sale, so you kept the oil painting on the back for your self. Those painting look great and you have painted the rustic styles well. Great.
