1st Friday Etsy Shop Feature

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to 1st Friday Etsy Shop Feature Day!etsy feature tagHave you ever shopped on Etsy?  It is a fantastic place!  I love the convenience of hunting online for certain unique and creative items, and Etsy is full of them!  Etsy shops are limited to selling items that fall into one of three categories:  handmade, vintage, or craft supplies. Since it’s “opening” in 2005, Etsy has grown into a viable marketplace for the small business owner, and has become the go-to shopping destination for many people searching for that perfect item to finish out their collection or craft project..

I love small businesses (I am one myself!), so I thought showcasing some of my favorite Etsy shops would be a fun way to support other small businesses and share more great finds with Lost & Found’s readers. Last month we visited with Kelly from Southern Gilt, but it’s time to introduce a new shop for October.  violetteslippersWelcome Jill from VioletteSlippers Vintage!

I first came upon Jill’s shop earlier this year when I desperately needed a replacement french provincial handle for a dresser I was working on.  After hunting forever on Ebay, I decided to take a look on Etsy and came upon Jill’s shop.  She features almost exclusively hardware, and her shop is so well organized it’s a breeze to find exactly what you need.  I found the perfect replacement pulls for a great price, and my makeover was salvaged.

Here is a little more from Jill herself about her shop . . .

Hello, I’m Jill! It is such an honor to be featured this month on Lost & Found. I grew up in a treasure-hunting, vintage-loving family, always on the lookout for forgotten bits and pieces. Hardware, in particular, always inspires me – from ornate Art Nouveau to mid-century French Provincial and beyond – it’s like being a kid in a candy store 🙂 A love of decorating, especially with worn, loved, chippy items, is really what has driven me to offer all these lovely handles and knobs on Etsy. What’s so wonderful about hardware is that it can transform furniture into something completely different each time, it’s very versatile and economical (and you are helping the environment too!) The best part is undoubtedly when someone finds exactly what they were looking for, that is another reason why I do this. So, welcome to my shop! I hope you have as much fun looking as I did in finding all of these….

VioletteSlippers has a wide selection on inventory, from art deco hardware, like these curved pulls with red metal accents,il_570xN.656053647_7762to this more romantic, elegant, antique pull set.il_570xN.635413382_c9vnAnd if it’s knobs you’re looking for, she has plenty of those too, including a whole set of french provincial rosettes.il_570xN.655793174_349pAre you feeling inspired yet?  Just imagine how simply you can transform a piece of furniture with a unique set of vintage knobs or handles!  And if you’re stuck in the middle of a furniture makeover and need a matching replacement hardware piece, definitely check out Jill’s inventory.

Through the remainder of October, Jill is offering a discount of 20% to her Etsy shop!  Use the code FUN20 when checking out, and please be sure to stop by soon and favorite her shop.

Thank you for joining me for another 1st Friday Etsy Shop Feature!  Who will be the feature shop for November?  Hmmm, you have to stay tuned 🙂
