Hey Friends!
Today is the day to take you on a tour of our new Painted Furniture & Home Decor Studio!
This little space has been seven years in the making. From a rented antique booth space the size of a jacuzzi bathtub to our own brick and mortar shop, it’s been quite a journey!
I feel so grateful to have this space.
I really enjoyed my booth spaces, especially the flexibility they offered!
But it was time to get my work out of my garage and into someplace where I could work more efficiently and have space to really develop my creativity.
A little bit about our location: Our building is located one block off the main strip in downtown Springdale, Arkansas.
This downtown area had been underdeveloped for decades but is just starting to resurface as a local dining and shopping destination.
There are groups of people working really hard to help bring downtown Springdale back to life, and I am glad to play my own little part in helping make that happen.
Prior to us moving in, the building was actually a psychiatrist’s office!
The owners did a major renovation, tearing down all the interior walls and drop ceiling, re-tiling the floor, and giving it all a coat of fresh white paint–all except for that great exposed brick wall in the front, which is my favorite part of the whole space.
Half of the store is devoted to retail.
- Painted furniture
- Vintage finds
- And some fun new items also.
The other half is for furniture paint and accessories.
- Fusion Mineral Paint
- Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint
- Funky Junk Stencils
- And Prima Transfers
Here’s part of our Fusion Mineral Paint display,
And our Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint display.
We now have over 40 Redesign with Prima Transfers in stock!
I love showing them to customers, they can’t believe how many different designs there are.
And our Funky Junk Stencil collection continues to grow also.
I like to think that our Studio is a little bit of a Crafter’s Heaven 🙂
One of my most favorite things we have in the Studio are our boutique soaps and candles.
They all make the shop smell amazing and they are just so fun to have around!
Plus, they are both made by women-owned businesses, and I like the idea of us lady-small business owners sticking together.
Last week, I hosted a Friends and Family Open House, and it was so wonderful!
The Studio was full of our “support team” here, and I had so much fun watching everyone enjoy our products–laughing at our silly signs, smelling the candles, and brainstorming what they could find in their house to paint.
My vision for the retail side of the space is to have a very curated collection of unique vintage finds, paired with newer items that just make you smile.
Lots of coffee paraphernalia!!
And we’re embracing the current obsession with all things “taco.”
Here’s a few more photos of the space, just for fun!
I’m still getting used to being the one behind the counter 🙂
I really do enjoy getting to interact with the people who come in, which is something I didn’t get to do much in my booth spaces.
Thank you for coming along with me today on a little tour!
If you know friends in the Northwest Arkansas area, would you please send them our way!
You can find us at 106 S. Main St, Downtown Springdale.
See you again soon!
Congratulations! What an exciting venture. Actually, I’m a wee bit envious as I would love to do something like this if I had the time. Your shop looks amazing. Love the black windows, trim, etc. with the white. Beautiful pieces. Best of luck!

The shop is awesome! Congratulations ????????. Wish you only the best!
After seven years in the making, this is such a blessing! I am living vicariously through you as I look at these photos, and the excitement that I am feeling can’t probably begin to touch on the joy that I am sure you feel!
I absolutely love your shop, and it really looks like a true representation of you and what you love doing. I hate that you left the Dallas/Plano area, but from the looks of things and your blogs, I’m assured that God needed to move you into what he had in “store” for you (pardon the pun????).
I wish you and your family continued success and blessings!
Oh Melanie, it’s a gorgeous store! It’s a place I would love to shop if I didn’t live 1600 miles away! Do you have a space where you can also paint there, in between customers?
Thank you! And yes, I do have a little space in the back where I can do my work. It’s great!
Congrats on your new adventure! I know it will be everything you dreamed it would be! It’s s beautiful store.
