Today I want to share with you three different ways you can decorate a mantel for spring, using vintage items that can easily be found at thrift stores or flea markets.
I love decorating with vintage treasures! For one, they are often less expensive than buying new decor pieces.
Also, using vintage items gives your home a unique, collected look that I personally think is much more interesting than any cookie-cutter decorating style out there 🙂
I have a mantel in my kitchen where I usually change out the decor seasonally. Since this is a kitchen mantel, it’s a bit less formal than my living room mantel, so I can play around more when I am decorating it.
To start the process, I pulled a ton of vintage items from all over my home and spread them out on my kitchen table.
Then I grouped the items together based on color, tone or texture. When it was all said and done, I had enough for 3 different mantel displays, each with its own unique feel.
This one wound up being the winner and the one I kept up. But would you like to see the other 2 contenders?
I thought you might say yes!
Check out the short video I filmed actually walking through the whole process. I hope it fills you with ideas for how you can use vintage items you find or other items you have around your house to create your own spring mantel displays!
I would love to hear which look was your favorite! And I hope you had fun doing a little decorating with me today.
Thanks for stopping by!
