So it has been a few months (two to be exact) since I hosted our last 1st Friday Etsy Shop Feature Day. Some of you joining us may be new readers, so let me take just a minute and refresh everyone on what we do here on 1st Friday.
If you’ve never shopped on Etsy, it’s a fantastic place! I love the convenience of hunting online for certain unique and creative items, and Etsy is full of them! Etsy shops are limited to selling items that fall into one of three categories: handmade, vintage, or craft supplies. Since it’s “opening” in 2005, Etsy has grown into a viable marketplace for the small business owner, and has become the go-to shopping destination for many people searching for that perfect item to finish out their collection or craft project.
I love small businesses (I am one myself!), so I thought showcasing some of my favorite Etsy shops would be a fun way to support other small businesses and share more great finds with Lost & Found’s readers.
I am excited to share with you August’s feature shop, River House Designs.
Here is little bit more about River House Designs, from Jen, it’s owner:
“My shop, River House Designs, is named for our 1930s home on the Scioto River from which I run my business. My love of antiques and the thrill of the hunt eventually outpaced my ability to display all the treasures I discovered. My Etsy shop provided an opportunity to share my finds with the world. Inspired by both farmhouse and rustic styles, I strive to offer items that will complement a variety of designs and tastes.”
River House Designs is Farmhouse Style at its best. Jen stocks a variety of vintage kitchen items, including this fantastic vibrant green, Sears Roebuck kitchen scale
and antique labeled marmalade jar.
Or if Mason Jars are your thing, Jen has a wide variety of vintage jars in all sizes, including this precious, pint-sized set.
Of course River House Designs also stocks a nice variety of quality, vintage and antique ironstone.
Jen also has a few really amazing vintage advertising signs:
Or are you in need of some really unique decorative pieces? I love this trophy set,
and this incredible French plaque (isn’t that blue color perfect!)
River House Designs also stocks a few larger items, like this wooden folding chair–perfect to keep and pull out for added seating when you need it.
Have you seen anything you can’t live without? Well, if so it’s your lucky day! Jen has graciously offered a 15% discount in any purchase in her shop for the month of August, using the code AUGUST15 during checkout.
And even more, Jen from River House Designs is giving away this 1950’s wooden soft drink crate!
